Saw our team line up and feared the worst, to the point I
sent a message to a mate proclaproclaiming it to be theworst West Ham midfield ever. Spector, Kovac, Barrera and one other I can't even remember.
For one night Grant looked like an absolute genius with how he deployed Spector.

i admit this was the only occasion i nearly walked our of upton park pre match based on our starting 11...kovac and spector both starting iirc...
what a brilliant night, snow, sleet, under the lights...
man utd bottled it, even ben haim nearly broke a few legs..

One of my favourite nights over there ever, it was all so ridiculous - the snow, smashing 4 past them with one of our shittest teams in years... i just remember pissing myself laughing at how bizarre it all was.
Mancs would not look over in our direction after the third went in, not a single one giving anything back. One way abuse.

Great night this. Later on in the competition when we threw away a two goal lead against Birmingham in the semi final costing us a cup final at Wembley against Arsenal is probably the angriest I have ever been at a defeat.

Don my get me wrong was a racking night which I enjoyed hugely but the team united out out was nothing like a first choice side
Ferdinand, nani, vidic, scholars, rooney, Valencia, berbatov et al would likely have made it a different game entirely
